JAKARTA (IndoTelko) – WeChat, a social communication service available for smartphones, announces its success in taking the top spot of free apllications in Google Play Store for Android devices and Apple App Store for iOS devices.
Last week, WeChat officially launched its Television commercial (TVC) video and announced the newly formed MNC-Tencent Joint Venture company in Indonesia.As an impact of the TVC, the numbersof downloads is now 30 times higher than before.
Not only that, within a week after the announcement WeChat managed to reach the number 1 position both in Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the country.

Besides iOS and Android, WeChat have recently launched a BlackBerry version of their application, which now has quickly rose to number 2 in overall position on BlackBerry Application World. Key features available for other platforms like ‘Push to Talk’, ‘Moments’, and a multitude of exciting emoticons also present in this version.
“There are more than 300 million registered WeChat users in the world. We believe that as the application become more popular in Indonesia, there will be a huge wave of new users coming from here. To improve the experience of using the application, we have exciting new updates planned.
