Jakarta (Indotelko) - After official statement issued by Central Bank of Indonesia regarding Bitcoin which can be used as e-commodity, not as e-currency, Bitcoin in a rush to strengthen his digital business in Indonesia.
Oscar Darmawan as CEO of Bitcoin.co.id revealed that his company has closed deal with Indowebster to use Bitcoin as virtual exchange.
"Starting early March 2014, Indowebster will use Bitcoin as a donation tools and one of medium exchange for all hosting services under Indowebster holding company, PT Maxindo Content Solution," Bitcoin official statement, Friday (28/2).
Indowebster itself is a website which provide local unlimited multimedia webserver, claimed as genuine Indonesian local hosting and file sharing provider. Indowebster is well known as file storage and sharing website with more than 1,9 million users. They provide more than 250.000 gigabyte file storage services.
Bitcoin services in Indowebster will be connected directly with marketplace system http://Vip.bitcoin.co.id which act as a partner who serve Rupiah's exchange transactions.
"This colaboration will bring Bitcoin development becomes more advanced one step forward. With the support of one of the largest websites in Indonesia, Bitcoin in Indonesia will be a huge phenomenon. We believe it will encourage others startup website to follow. We hope this cooperation will pump up the volume of Bitcoin transaction in Indonesia, followed by others start up company," Oscar said.
