JAKARTA (IndoTelko) - PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) has gain profit as much as Rp17,347 trillion in 2013, increase 10,4% compared to year 2012 which booked Rp15,715 trillion profit.
As quoted from Telkom's Financial Report 2013, Telkomsel revenue in 2013 hit Rp60,031 trillion or increase 10,1% compared to year 2012 which obtain Rp54,531 trillion.
Meanwhile, Earning Before Interest Tax Depreciation Amortization (EBITDA) in 2013 achieve Rp33,86 triliun or increase 10% compared to previous year as much as Rp30,788 triliun. Telkomsel margin EBITDA is still flat in position 56,4%.
Telkomsel revenue during 2013 came from prepaid product gain as much as Rp49,631 trillion, post paid gain Rp4,779 trillion, while interconnection and international roaming obtain Rp4,779 trillion.
Total number of Telkomsel Flash Mobile Broadband subscribers are 17,3 million, including 7,6 million Blackberry subscribers. Telkomsel data subscribers who are using 'pay as you use' service mechanism reach 60,5 million numbers. Telkomsel booked their data revenue as much as Rp10,5 trillion, increased 35,6% compared to last year.
Total Minutes of Usage produced during 2013 reach 191 billion minutes with revenue reached Rp30,6 trillion or increase 4,5% compared to previous year. SMS message sent by Telkomsel users reach 260 billion messages with revenue Rp12,624 trillion or up 3,3% compare to last year. Meanwhile, mixed Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) during 2013 is still in around Rp37.000.
In 2013, Telkomsel subscribers reach 131,5 million or increase 5,1% compare to year 2012 which account 125,146 million subscribers. Total BTS owned by Telkomsel is 69,864 sites. Increased 28,7% compare to 2012 which only 54,297 sites.
One of the key factor of Telkomsel's dazzling financial performance is because they can managed to reduce the rate of growth cost in around 9,6%. Lower than growth revenue in around 10,1%.
Until end of 2013, a subsidiary of Telkom had Rp16,603 trillion of current assets, and Rp53,182 trillion of fixed assets, while liabilities amounted Rp16,405 trillion. As of December 2013, Telkomsel has amount of debt around Rp2,147 trillion.
However, if we can see from their previous target which was set at the earlier of 2013, Telkomsel missed their target for EBITDA growth and total number of subscribers. Earlier 2013, Telkomsel target was to reach 137 million subscribers and EBITDA growth hit 14%, while net profit target increased 12%.
However, if compared to Indosat and XL Axiata, Telkomsel's revenue is pretty much better during 2013, thanks to their initiative not to be tempted to lower down their data rate.(id/ct)
