JAKARTA (IndoTelko) - PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL) claimed to have prepared an agreement on intrusive advertising practices with Indonesian E-Commerce Association (IdEA), which has made a "scene" in the virtual world some time ago.

"We've met with the IdEA some time ago. So far the outcome is only limited to Minute of Meeting (MoM), but already there is a signal of agreement about the intrusive ads," said XL Head of Mobile Advertising Herwinto Chandra Sutantyo to IndoTelko during a Media Gathering in Lombok, last week.

Herwinto said that both parties have agreed to stop the intrusive Ads practice in the agreement plan, "We agreed that we will not put intrusive ads in IdEA member’s sites and incorporated in Indonesia. Besides, we also provide option for the IDEA members who want to take advantage of intrusive Ads, as long as its origin incorporated. We have not yet finalized on the agreement for profit sharing calculations for members who decide to take the option," Herwinto said.

Herwinto added that so far there are signs to shape a new agreement with the IdEA, while there is no agreement finalized yet with the Indonesian Digital Association (IDA).

"The progress so far is only for mediation. We will be notified again later," Herwinto said.

As known that the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (IdEA), Digital Indonesian Association (IDA), the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Provider (APJII), Internet Domain Name Management Indonesia (PANDI), Association of Asia Pacific Advertising Media, and the Association of Advertising Indonesia ( P3I) reject the intrusive ads practices conducted Telkomsel and XL.
