Tri and Indosat won an additional 2.1 GHz frequency

JAKARTA (IndoTelko) - Two operators succeeded in winning the 2.1 GHz Radio Frequency for Mobile Cellular Network Operations.

Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) said in an official statement (30/10), the 2.1 GHz frequency auction was attended by three participants, they are Indosat, Hutchison 3 Indonesia, and XL Axiata. But only Indosat and Hutchison 3 get it.

Kominfo has a plan to release two blocks from 2.1 GHz radio frequency band. Each of them is a 5 MHz FDD radio frequency bandwidth in the range of 1970-1975 MHz in pairs with 2160-2165 MHz (Block 11), and the 1975- 1980 MHz paired with 2165-2170 MHz (Block 12).

The offering price for the 2.1 GHz frequency is Rp 296,742 billion with a bid bond of 40 percent of the offering price, which is Rp118.696 billion.

The first sequence and second rank of the Selection result in the 2.1 GHz radio frequency band is Hutchison 3 Indonesia with the offer of Rp 423,084 billion and Indosat with the same value.

Next process, participants are allowed to submit a written denial to the bidding Team within one working day after the day of announcement of Selection result, accompanied by evidence that strengthens the rebuttal.

"The written denial referred to above is addressed to the Chair of the Selection Team and submitted directly to the Secretariat of the Selection Team on Tuesday, 31 October 2017 from 09.00 to 15.00 WIB," he concluded.(es)
