TOKYO (IndoTelko) - NEC Corporation announced that it has become a member of United VARs, the global alliance network of SAP channel partners.
NEC will work in cooperation with other United VARs alliance partners to support the marketing of the SAP Business ByDesign solution, SAP’s cloud-based ERP solution for the upper midmarket and global subsidiaries.
The United VARs alliance network consist of the leading SAP channel partners, who have together implemented SAP products and services for a total of over 5,500 client companies in over 70 countries.
When the clients of United VARs alliance partners deploy systems utilizing SAP products at global locations, member companies cooperate in partnership with United VARs alliance partners in other regions who are well versed in the local legal regulations and business practices of each region, enabling them to offer optimal, efficient support.
NEC joins the United VARs alliance as a strategic business partner to support the marketing of the SAP Business ByDesign solution in the Asian region. This will enable NEC to offer a one-stop service when its clients in Asian countries deploy SAP Business ByDesign at their locations in Europe and the United States through the formation of cooperative partnerships with United VARs alliance partners in respective areas.
In 2014, NEC announced that it has entered into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with SAP to integrate the SAP Business ByDesign solution with its global cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) services. Based on this agreement, NEC has launched the "NEC Global Localization Package for SAP Business ByDesign" by adding functionalities to address country-specific legal regulations and business practices and is offering the package in the Asian region.
“We are excited about working with United VARs. Since the launch of our localization package for SAP Business ByDesign, we have completed highly successful projects in various Asian countries. With this new partnership, we will boost our global activities related to SAP Business ByDesign, aiming to achieve implementation of the service at 300 locations globally over the coming three year period,” said Yutaka Noguchi, General Manager, Global Products and Services Development Division, NEC Corporation.
“NEC’s membership in the United VARs alliance will further strengthen the global network of SAP partners. In addition to their expansion within the Asian region, Asia-based companies are progressively expanding their corporate presences in Europe and the United States. NEC has been engaged in SAP-related business in the Asian region for many years, and I’m confident that they will continue to leverage that experience, together with us, in contributing to further innovation for our customers in the future,” said Michael Schmitt, Senior Vice President & General Manager SAP Business ByDesign, SAP.(es)
