SINGAPORE (IndoTelko) – Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., introduced its entry-level storage system, Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G130, for the Asia Pacific (APAC) market.

VSP G130 is an extension of the hybrid-flash VSP G series systems that supports smaller data center modernization initiatives. VSP G130 provides agile data infrastructure with minimal costs for SMBs, remote or branch offices that need local backup capabilities, direct attached storage (DAS) environments, and simplified virtual server deployments.

“Hitachi Vantara is dedicated to delivering innovative technologies that help business leaders in the APAC region manage the deluge of data being produced in their IT environments,” said Pratyush Khare, vice president, pre-sales and CTO, APAC, Hitachi Vantara. “Data center modernization begins with a foundation for consistent delivery of data at high speed and low latency, with support of diverse workload requirements and multi-cloud integration. VSP G130 is designed and priced to fulfill all these needs in the entry-level storage market.”

Businesses need to adopt storage solutions that consolidate workloads with minimal investment, provide value and extract business insights. It is also critical for storage solutions to support current and future cloud strategies with enterprise-grade reliability and operational simplicity. VSP G130 is able to address all these challenges for customers with smaller deployment needs.

Efficiency
VSP G130 enables seamless automation of data centers and improves operational efficiency. The system is powered by the next generation Hitachi Storage Virtualization Operating System, SVOS RF.  VSP G130 reduces cost and complexity, while delivering better network utilization. In addition, it optionally offers end-to-end analytics for advanced administrative efficiencies that make operations more predictable.

VSP G130 supports OpenStack drivers to offer a cloud-like experience to users. The product also supports containers to accelerate cloud-native application development through DevOps, enabling persistent data availability while being orchestrated by leading container platforms.

In addition, customers can use VSP G130 with Hitachi Vantara’s Hi-Track Remote Monitoring system and analytics capabilities to proactively analyze, support and maintain the health of cloud solutions.

VSP G130 comes bundled with storage management and local replication software. Optional software features include infrastructure performance analytics, predictive analytics and Hitachi Data Instance Director (HDID) for data protection and backup orchestration.

GCG BUMN
Hitachi VSP G130 is now available in ASEAN, Australia, China, Hong Kong and New Zealand, and it will be available to the rest of the APAC region in the second half of 2019.(es)
