SINGAPORE (IndoTelko) – Telekomunikasi Indonesia International Pte Ltd (Telin Singapore), a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International, today announced that Telin-1 Changi Data Centre has been awarded a Tier III Certification of Design Documents by Uptime Institute, the globally recognised data centre authority.
This Tier III Certification award puts Telin Singapore in an elite group of handful of companies in Singapore to have achieved the prestigious certification from Uptime Institute. Achieving this certification highlights Telin Singapore’s commitment to implement critical infrastructure and facilities that will comply with key international standards.
In making the announcement, Freddi Huang, Head of Engineering and Operations of Telin Singapore, said: “It is important for us to be able to implement critical data centre infrastructure facilities that are concurrently maintainable and comply with international standards in order to meet the needs of our customers. We are thrilled and excited to have this certification – an industry-best-practice and third-party validation. Our customers rely on our data centre facilities to run their business. They require maximum uptime and availability for their systems. They deserve data building systems and infrastructure that support that.”
This certification to Telin-1 Changi Data Centre is based on review of multiple mechanical and facility criteria as defined in the Tier Standard: Topology by Uptime Institute.
Telin Singapore recently began construction of its third data centre in an effort to support rising demand for premium data centre services in Singapore. Dubbed Telin-3, the new five-storey, multi-tier, state-of-the-art facility is located in Singapore’s Jurong Data Centre Park (DCP) and is expected to go live in third quarter of 2016.(es)
