JAKARTA (IndoTelko) In taking constructive steps to develop environmentally friendly transportation solutions since November 2021, Volta, a subsidiary of PT NFC Indonesia Tbk (IDX: NFCX), a member of the PT M Cash Integrasi Tbk (IDX: MCAS) group, rung in 2023 by achieving 100,000,000 kilometers of distance traveled and succeeded in reducing emissions (carbon saving) by 3,300 tons of CO2. This achievement proves Volta"s commitment to supporting the Indonesian government"s zero-emission target in 2060.
Carbon saving is a term that refers to reducing carbon emissions by practicing green actions, and one of the ways includes using environmentally friendly electric vehicles. Carbon emissions negatively affect climate change and global warming. Therefore, the zero-emission target will undoubtedly create cleaner air quality and produce a healthier environment to bring positive impacts, such as maintaining the overall environmental balance and protecting future generations from the harmful effects of climate change.
Volta"s achievement in reducing carbon emissions marks Volta"s sincerity in creating a greener environment. Volta will continue to contribute by offering green transportation solutions that produce lower emissions than vehicles with fossil fuels. Moreover, Volta developed a battery replacement system (SGB) infrastructure that has expanded to 200 points across Indonesia. Volta also began developing an SGB that uses sustainable resources, specifically solar panels.
